The Challenge

Mobile QoE / QoS vendors are impacted by the growing amount of data travelling on mobile networks. Typically, their solutions have not been designed to support the huge throughputs generated by unlimited wireless data plans. They are no longer able to compute their KPIs on the entire traffic as they did in the past. Instead, they must now select a panel of mobile users and analyze a representative sample to deduce QoS.

Qosmos Solution

Use Qosmos ixMachine probes to analyze only a portion of the traffic, based on mobile users IDs (IMSI) and create a panel of representative users. The filtered traffic is forwarded by Qosmos at bandwidths which are manageable for existing solutions. Qosmos probes can also provide global KPIs based on the analysis of 100% of the traffic for all users.
