Paris, France, 18 – 21 March 2014
Qosmos provides the built-in application intelligence required for service-awareness in SDN and NFV environments. Developers benefit from rapid time-to-market for solutions requiring built-in application intelligence, while telcos, datacenter operators, and enterprises profit from optimized network services and reduced infrastructure costs.
Qosmos will present two new products for service awareness at the NFV & SDN Summit:
- Qosmos Service Aware Module (SAM) for Virtual Switch
Qosmos SAM™ can be combined with different vSwitches to provide detailed, real-time protocol information and metadata for complete service-awareness at the infrastructure level.
- Qosmos DPI as a Virtual Network Function Component (VNFC)
This new product runs in a virtual machine and feeds application information and metadata to functions such as Service Routers, GGSN, PCEF, BRAS, ADC/Load Balancers, Network Analytics, NG Firewalls, WAN optimization, etc.

Jerome Tollet, CTO of Qosmos, will deliver a presentation on CloudNFV Experiences during the conference:
Jerome Tollet will present the role of DPI in SDN and NFV, illustrating his presentation with concrete examples of implementations, and in particular CloudNFV.
The CloudNFV project was architected to address the union of NFV, the cloud, and SDN. It’s mechanism for addressing SDN services in NFV is the Service Model Handler, a union of OpenStack and OpenDaylight concepts that offers a model of SDN services that not only supports the evolving network connection needs of Network Functions Virtualizaton but the most general needs of cloud networking, hybridizing SDN and non-SDN networks, and supporting multiple vendors.
