Every day, I am reminded of the need for detailed, real-time network traffic visibility. It's a "must have" for equipment makers and solution vendors who want to develop efficient applications for traffic optimization, policy management, service assurance, market research, quality of service, etc. Vendors with the best visibility can build the strongest solutions and service providers using these solutions win on their markets. For both, visibility translates into money.
So, what is the best way to get this traffic visibility?
Our experience shows that equipment and solution vendors risk spending a lot of time and money developing DPI and Network Intelligence technology in-house. Communications Service Providers (CSPs) today need a better understanding of traffic at the user level to maximize revenue with usage-based billing.
