Do you suffer from information overload?

We have all read in the media how data traffic from iPhones is clogging up mobile networks. Sounds familiar? Well, government applications are also challenged by the explosive growth in Internet traffic, which leads to issues in terms of: 1) interception probe performance 2) amount of data to process and 3) ballooning storage requirements.

So, what to do? Leverage IP traffic metadata!

  • To improve probe performance: enhance the collection phase by mapping “who contacts whom / when / where / how”
  • For efficient data processing: use intelligent traffic decoding and metadata extraction to focus on pertinent information (as opposed to irrelevant video and Web ads)
  • To reduce storage: use traffic metadata (e.g. Webmail sender, receiver, timestamp, etc.) in monitoring centers to index and store interception information in a smarter way, thereby saving disk space and speeding up information retrieval

The amount of network traffic will only continue to grow in the coming years – it’s unstoppable. The only option is to be smart, use the latest available technology and stay ahead of the curve, so you don’t become a victim of info overload!

In this issue of QosmoNote, you can read more about Network Intelligence Technology and how  Qosmos can help you build stronger government solutions.
