Thibaut Bechetoille has more than 20 years’ experience in international, executive management with leading high-tech companies, such as Bridge Communications, 3Com, Bay Networks, and Nortel. Prior to Qosmos, he was the founder and CEO of Maiaah!, a virtual private network service provider which was acquired by Easynet in 2002. Thibaut holds a master’s degree from French engineering school ENSIMAG and an Executive MBA from the HEC Business School.
Thibaut is passionate about entrepreneurship and obsessed with company strategy. For him, there is always a way to establish a differentiated strategy in any market.
Jerome Tollet is the inventor and principal software architect of Qosmos core technology. An expert in Network Intelligence and Deep Packet Inspection technologies, he has an extensive knowledge of computer systems and network architectures. He is driving Qosmos SDN and NFV strategy and is a regular speaker at international conferences on network virtualization. Jerome holds a joint master’s degree in computer science from the Pierre and Marie Curie University and French engineering school ENST Paris.
When he is not enriching his encyclopedic knowledge of high-tech, Jerome enjoys practicing piano in his Parisian apartment.
Guillaume Fortuné is responsible for financial performance and planning, business processes and administration. He began his career working for start-ups in the telecommunications sector, and prior to Qosmos he was Finance Director at Easynet France. Guillaume holds a master’s degree in Industrial Strategy from the Sorbonne University in Paris, and a master’s degree in Financial Management from the Paris Dauphine University.
When he was younger, Guillaume was an active rugby player. He now prefers the safer sport of golf and enjoys rugby as a spectator instead.
Erik LarssonVice President, Marketing
Erik has practiced high-tech marketing for more than 20 years, shaping markets and establishing leadership positions both for mature companies and start-ups. Prior to Qosmos, he led marketing for Netcentrex (acquired by Comverse), and managed marketing for Web hosting provider Integra (now Level 3). His previous experience also includes several international marketing roles at Nortel. Erik holds a master’s degree in Engineering Physics from the Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden) and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business (USA).
Living in different countries and traveling extensively has caused Erik to develop a peculiar interest for languages and cultures. He is one of the few people to have a Bushman (Ju/’Hoansi) phrase book on his smartphone.
Patrick PaulVice President, R&D
Patrick Paul is responsible for research and development at Qosmos. He has over 20 years’ experience in networking software development, integration and technical support. Prior to Qosmos, he worked as Customer Services Director and Product Line Manager at 6Wind, and before that he was responsible for the networking software department at Thales. Patrick holds masters’ degrees from French engineering schools ESEO and ESE.
As an enthusiastic sailor, Patrick spends most of his free time working on his sailboat. He recently competed in a solo transatlantic sailing race.
Jean-Pierre CouryVice President, Customer Operations
Jean-Pierre is responsible for customer operations, customer project management, technical support, expert engineering and service strategy. He has 15 years’ experience in customer support and services in the networking and telecom industry. Before Qosmos, he held management positions in technical support and customer operations at Netcentrex (acquired by Comverse). He started his career as a support engineer for Nortel and Open-TV. Jean-Pierre holds a master’s degree in telecom & computer science from the Paul Sabatier University in France and an Executive MBA from ESSEC-Mannheim Business School.
Jean-Pierre enjoys travelling and discovering new cultures and, most of all, connecting with his family scattered all over the world.
Jean Philippe LionVice President, EMEA Sales
Jean Philippe has a wide knowledge of the telecommunications industry and a particular understanding of the challenges faced by operators. Prior to Qosmos, he worked 7 years at SFR/Cegetel as Prospection and Development Director, DSL Program Director and Local Loop Division Director. Previously, he was part of the Telecom Division of Booz Allen & Hamilton, carrying out consulting assignments across Europe for fixed and mobile network operators. Jean Philippe holds a master’s degree from French engineering school Telecom ParisTech and an MBA from INSEAD.
From his years spent in Japan as a child, Jean Philippe has kept a special fondness for Japanese language and culture.
Albert RossAlbert Ross, Vice President, Americas Sales
Albert has more than 20 years of global sales experience, business development and technical marketing in both the networking and security industries. He has opened up new markets for companies through deep knowledge of network services and market trends. Before joining Qosmos, he held positions from technical marketing, major accounts and telco market specialist. Albert has served the telecom market, in the USA, for over 10 years. He has been part of three startups and was an entrepreneur in the mid 90’s in opening up APAC region to Capella Networking.
Al is known as the man who built an authentic wood-fired pizza oven in his backyard. He is proud to indulge his friends with the finest home-made pizzas in San Jose (just allow 2 hours for the oven to heat up).
Emmanuel RogerVice President, Asia Pacific & Japan Sales
Emmanuel has over 20 years of experience in the high-tech industry, working for major network and telecom equipment vendors. Before joining Qosmos, he was Director of Strategic Alliances at Nokia. He was previously a member of the Corporate Business Development Group at Cisco, where he was in charge of European strategic alliances and acquisitions. Prior to that, Emmanuel worked at Nortel as a Senior Engineering Manager. He began his career in Singapore as Regional Sales Manager for a telecom startup. Emmanuel holds a master’s degree in engineering from French engineering school SUPELEC, as well as a master’s degree from French business school CNAM.
Emmanuel has a passion for travelling and Asian culture. It all started at the age of 18 when, equipped with a backpack, he hitch-hiked his way across North and South America. He is now doing the same thing in Asia, but without the backpack.
Gilles d’AramonVice President, Worldwide Service Providers
Gilles has more than 20 years’ experience in the networking and semiconductor industries. Prior to Qosmos, he spent 13 years with Cisco France, where he was a member of the management board. At Cisco, he had a strong record of managing double-digit sales growth as Sales Director for different sectors: Enterprise, Global Accounts, Public Sector, and Service Providers. Gilles began his career at Texas Instruments, where is was responsible for sales in South Africa. Gilles holds an engineering degree in physics from the Grenoble Institute of Technology (INPG) and a combined MBA from French business school HEC and UCLA (USA).
Gilles always travels with his camera, ready to capture special moments and memories. He has promised his wife not to change cameras more than once a year.
Imran YusufVice President, Business Development & Strategic Alliances
Imran is responsible for driving global business development and building strategic partnerships at Qosmos. He brings over 15 years’ experience from both semiconductor and software companies. Previously, Imran served as Director of Global Alliances and Business Development at Wind River, where he led corporate strategy for semiconductor partnerships and developed key alliances with channel partners. Prior to that, he worked at Intel in various engineering, business development and sales & marketing roles. Imran graduated from the Georgia Tech with a dual master’s degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. He also holds four patents related to microprocessor cooling and has published several technical papers.
Imran is a self-described “tennis junkie”: he frantically follows all possible tournaments, and can’t stay away from a court for more than a couple of days.
Didier CohenVice President, Product Management
Didier is responsible for driving global product strategy at Qosmos. He brings 20 years of experience in product management, product marketing, strategic consulting, business planning, marketing & sales support for technology companies. Before Qosmos, he founded Anthalia to help B2B high-tech companies build product strategies and product management processes. He also held various management positions in marketing and sales for large equipment vendors (Nokia and Nortel) and for the smart card sector (Oberthur Technologies). Didier started his career as an R&D engineer at Matra Communication. He holds MSc. degrees in engineering from the French engineering schools Ecole Polytechnique and Telecom ParisTech.
Didier enjoys all team sports and plays ice-hockey and basket-ball.
