Position Summary and Primary Objectives
- Study, analyze, develop and maintain protocol decoding relating to Qosmos’ core activities (in the field of DPI)
- Analyze, parameter and code software components in respect of standards and procedures, and according to the evolution guidelines set out for existing components.
- Ensure that technical goals and deadlines are met.
Main Duties / Key Accountabilities
Study of protocols
- Analysis of norms and standards
- Reverse engineering
- Research of technical specifications
Analysis
- Definition of specifications, needs analysis
- Software prototyping
- Performance-level estimations
- Workflow estimations
Development
- Development of modules
- Module assembly
- Authoring of internal technical documents
Qualification
- Participate in the elaboration of test plans
- Creation of test sets
- Carry out tests
- Identify and fix bugs
Maintenance, debug
- Corrective maintenance
- Upgrade maintenance
Key challenges
- Recognize and extract essential information from all traffic types
- Ensure optimum performance levels whatever the protocol analyzed
- Ensure Carrier Grade stability levels
Education, Training and Experience
- Masters degree in Computer Science with a specialization in information systems/networks
- Minimum of 2 years experience
Skills
- Proficient in C language
- Knowledge of Linux system/kernel
- Debugging techniques
- In-depth knowledge of network architectures
