Position Summary and Primary Objectives
Responsible for pre-sales support of company products. Provide technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation, and first level maintenance of company products to ensure that the system is functioning according to specifications. Provide answers to customer inquiries concerning software/hardware and applications. Provide consultation to prospective customers. Provide assistance to customers to design architecture and build applications demonstrating the feasibility of the targeted system, often requiring rapid prototyping. Play a key role into the sales process and lead the Technical Sales relation with customers in close cooperation with the Sales managers in charge of the different Accounts.
Main Duties / Key Accountabilities
- Provide pre-sale on-site technical presentations regarding products and industry technology.
- Offer sales support to customers and sales force onsite and by phone.
- Coordinate on-site technical product demonstrations. To install and monitor customer evaluations.
- Provide pre-sales support, positioning, architectural recommendations and presentations of Qosmos value proposition to the different types of addressed customers (Operators, Service providers, OEMs, indirect or direct Channels…).
- Participate in sales activities to support product demonstrations and technical presentations, in line with the R&D team, to design customized solutions for customers based on Qosmos technological components.
- In close cooperation with the Sales Engineers, to actively participate into the RFI, RFP and RFQ process by defining the strategy of answer and by leading the technical sales parts of the proposal.
- To understand the industry competitive landscape along with unique Qosmos value proposition.
- Provide systematic market feedback on the addressed business segments to the Marketing team in order to continuously enhance Qosmos solutions market differentiation and evolution (Product Review)
To collect customer product requirements and feed the product management process.
Education and Experiences
- Engineering Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Master Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is a plus
- Direct experience supporting OEM design-in cycles preferred
Requires 3 years minimum of relevant industry experience in networks environments
Technical competencies:
- Thorough understanding of IP networks and services (Internet based, VoIP, TV, VoD, 3G…).
- Knowledge of service and application protocols
- Knowledge network architecture
- Experience in C language programming
- OS knowledge, including various Linux versions
- Knowlegde in Deep Packet Inspection technology is a plus
- Knowledge in tools and network analyzers is a plus
- Fluent English.
